At UniHall, you get more than a room and a place to study. You get opportunities to get involved, meet people, try new things and build skills that will stay with you long after university.

Pathways to Leadership is one of the things that makes living at UniHall different.

It’s a student-led program where residents can turn their interests and ideas into action — contributing to the community while building confidence, experience and practical skills.

And you don’t need to think of yourself as a leader to get involved. You just need to have a go.

Pathways to Leadership is open to UniHall residents, with opportunities across community, culture, wellbeing, creativity, sustainability, volunteering, academics and career development.

You could organise an event, get involved in volunteering, connect with industry, support other residents, explore your creative side or help make UniHall a better place to live.

There’s no one way to be a leader.

Skills that go beyond your CV

The things you learn outside the classroom can be just as valuable as what you learn in it.

Pathways to Leadership helps you develop skills in communication, teamwork, organisation, problem-solving, networking and event planning — skills that can give you an edge when it comes to internships, jobs and life beyond university.

Some opportunities also connect you with academics, alumni, industry and organisations beyond UniHall.

The skills you build at UniHall shouldn’t disappear when you leave.

Pathways to Leadership participants are recognised through UWA’s Advance Co-Curricular Badging program, with digital badges that showcase the skills, experiences and achievements you’ve gained along the way.

Share them across your digital profiles so potential employers can see more than just your degree — and they’re also featured on your UWA transcript.

Additional workshops and training are certified too.

So when you leave UniHall, you don’t just take the experience with you. You have something to show for it.
