We've got your back, 24/7

At UniHall, you get the freedom to do uni your way but you’re never flying solo. Whether it’s a late-night worry, a lost key, or just needing someone to talk to, support is always close by.

Our dedicated Residential Life team is here to help you make the most of your UniHall experience. From wellbeing and personal support to community connection and student success, there's always someone in your corner.

And because support doesn't stop at 5pm, our Residential Assistants (RAs) and UWA Security teams are available after hours, ensuring help is never far away when you need it.

Safe, supported, and never alone. That's life at UniHall.

A Place Where Everyone Belongs

UniHall is the only residential college at UWA with a dedicated sensory space for neurodivergent students. Designed as a calm, low-stimulation environment, the space offers residents a place to recharge, regulate, and take a break when they need it. It's just one of the ways we're building a more inclusive, supportive, and welcoming community for all students.

Your Support Staff

Your Support Team

Living away from home is exciting and sometimes a little overwhelming. That's why UniHall has a dedicated team whose job is to help you thrive, both personally and academically.

Meet your support crew:

  • Residential Life Team: Our professional Residential Life team includes the Deputy Head of College, two Residential Life Coordinators, and the Head of Wellbeing. Available Monday to Friday, they're here to support your wellbeing, personal development, community engagement, and overall success at UniHall.
  • Residential Assistants (RAs): Senior student leaders who live within the community and help create a welcoming, connected environment. They are available after hours to assist residents, answer questions, provide peer support, and help you navigate day-to-day college life.
  • Head of College: Not just a name on an office door. They're an active member of the UniHall community, working closely with students and staff to foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment for everyone.
  • UWA Security: Available 24/7, UWA Security regularly patrols campus and can provide assistance and safe escort services when required, giving you extra peace of mind both on campus and at UniHall.

Daily Life, Sorted

In your first year, living in a Standard Room means you'll get:

  • 16 meals a week in the Dining Hall (use them how you like. Pancakes for dinner? Go for it.)
  • Fortnightly room cleans to help keep things fresh.
  • Laundry rooms on-site (no laundromat missions required).
  • Free Wi-Fi that's fast, reliable, and the same as on campus.
  • Free UWA gym membership because wellbeing includes movement, and we love a good fitness class.

Study Support That Makes Sense

UniHall is designed to help you thrive academically. You'll find:

  • Study rooms throughout the college.
  • Quiet times and stress-buster events during exam periods.
  • Academic support and mentoring to sharpen your skills, from referencing and report writing to statistics and study strategies.

Because support at UniHall isn't just about being there when things go wrong. It's about helping you feel connected, stay well, achieve your academic goals, and make the most of every part of your university experience.
