It’s transformation time at University Hall (UniHall)! The front landscape along Winthrop Avenue is currently being reconstructed into a vibrant and beautiful outdoor space to welcome students, professionals and guests to the Hall.

Driving into UniHall, visitors currently see a grassy outdoor area amongst large trees and woodchips – we can do better than this.

At the Hall we have a lively and interactive community where residents enjoy being outdoors and mingling amongst one another. To reflect our unique culture the front space will be more open while featuring new bright plants, grassed spaces and street trees.

Roslyn Retallick, Facilities Manager at University Hall, says the new welcoming area will complement the magnificent landscape of The University of Western Australia (UWA).
The Hall is the only residential college owned and operated by UWA and is therefore able to offer exclusive opportunities to students living at UniHall.

UniHall are working closely with the UWA Grounds team and Geck contracting for the works to be finalised by the end of October. Aaron Sandilands (Fremantle dockers star) and his father Gary Sandilands own Gecko contracting and have been working on site at UniHall.
